Our Frequently Asked Questions covers many common questions about Sport Kilt and shopping in our online store. Have a question which isn't answered here? Let us know!
Undo the Velcro, wrap the kilt around your waist or hips, and fasten the Velcro. The flat (non-pleated) part of the kilt should be squarely in the middle (front) of your torso with the Sport Kilt logo on the right side.
When you wrap your kilt around you, be sure to center the flat panel squarely across your front. (Most important! The pleats always go around your backside.)
You can measure around your waist with a cloth measuing tape and plug that size into our size chart here:
http://www.sportkilt.com/size_chart.html
We recommend going by your actual waist measurement and not your pants size. Your pants size is usually 2" smaller than your actual waist measurement. If you don't have a measuring tape, just add 2" to your pants size and plug that number into our size chart for your ideal size.
For example, if you wear size 34 pants, then add two (36) and a 36 will fit best in our size large Sport Kilt.
Men with a 28-32" waist over 5'10" should go with a medium-long, and under 5'10" a medium will be a good length.

Care Instructions
You can machine wash your kilt with like colors on cold; tumble dry on low or hang to dry.
For the sharpest pleats, press with an iron on 75% heat setting.
Note: If your kilt has leather buckle straps, we recommend dry cleaning as the
leather will dry out with machine washing/drying.

The best accessories for your Sport Kilt
-Sporran: The small pouch that hangs directly in front of your kilt was the medieval Highlander’s wallet. They range in style from casual leather to formal fur.
-Kilt “hose” (socks): Leave those ankle socks at the gym. Kilts look best with tall socks that come above your calf. A nice cuff on top with flashes is even better. Speaking of…
-Flashes: These small flaps of fabric poke out of the cuff on your kilt hose. Sure, flashes are purely decorative, but they give a great finishing touch to your outfit.
We use a special 8oz yarn-dyed poly/viscose material that is machine washable, holds a pleat well, has a nice swing and drape, is non-itchy and great for sports in all of our tartan/plaid kilts.
Our Commando kilts, and some of the specialty fabric camo kilts use a poly/cotton printed twill.
