Belt Loops ($12)

Belt Loops ($12) Although you don't need a belt to hold up your kilt, we'll be glad to add 'em so you can wear your favorite belt.

Belt loops can also be used to thread your sporran "chain-belt" through. This is the traditional use of belt loops on a kilt.

TIP: Belt Loop size should be at least 1/4" larger than the belt width in order to have room for the belt hardware, e.g., the keeper.

Please note: We cannot accept returns for customized goods, i.e., belt loops, sewn pleats, custom length. Please measure carefully!

Fringe ($12)

Fringe ($12) Now you can have the opening side of your Sport Kilt fringed for extra flair!

Sewn-Down Pleats ($12)

Sewn-Down Pleats ($12) All Sport Kilts are pleated, but you can give your kilt that custom fitted shape with a leaner profile by having us sew down the pleats.

The first 4-5 inches of pleats (measured from the waistband) are sewn down along the knife edge of the pleat (vertically). This provides a more refined look and makes for easier care and pressing.

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept returns for customized goods, i.e., belt loops, sewn pleats, custom length. Please make sure of your measurements!

Buckle Closure ($18)

Buckle Closure ($18) You can add two 1" wide black leather straps and nickle-plated buckles to the opening end of your Sport Kilt. A functional, traditional looking adjustable double strap.

While all Sport Kilts are secured with Velcro at the waistband, you can give your kilt that custom look (and added security) by adding buckles and straps.

Also note: If you opt for the Buckles and straps, we HIGHLY recommend adding the sewn-down-pleats option as they compliment each other.

Also, it is best to hand wash (or dry clean) your kilt with leather straps.

Important: We cannot accept returns for customized goods, i.e., belt loops, sewn-down pleats, custom length, fringe, or buckles. Please be precise with measurements!

Pockets ($20)

Pockets ($20) Now you can have us add 2 hidden side pockets to your Sport Kilt. You won't even know they're there unless you're looking for them, or you've got your hands in your pockets.

A great custom option for those that have to have pockets on their kilts!

Please allow us a couple of days to customize your kilt with pockets before your order ships.

The Hawaiian tartan is renowned for its beautiful colors representative of the flora and fauna of this tropical paradise. All sizes in stock!

The Hawaiian Tartan story:
In the beginning, there was the sea and the sky, and they were blue. From the depths of the ocean came lava, and it was a firey red and yellow. As the lava hardened, it formed the islands, and over time turned into the 'aina, the rich brown life-giving earth. Soon the islands were covered in lush green vegatation, making them emerald jewels set in a cerulean blanket. Where the green of the islands and the blue of the ocean met formed the blue-green near shore waters, which flourished with abundant sea life. The Flora and fauna provided nourishment to the people who settled these islands, eventually adopting the red and yellow as royal colors.

In the tartan, the Blue is for the Pacific Ocean, The Green is for the vegatation, the Brown is for the land and the Red and Yellow have a dual purpose as the represent both the fire and lava that formed the Hawaiian Islands, and also honor the Hawaiian Monarchy.

Hawaiian Sport Kilt

"I really dig this kilt! I was born in Honolulu, HI and I like wearing clothes that pay homage to that lovely island state. I've got many tank-tops and t-shirts I've collected from the various islands of Hawaii and this Hawaiian Sport Kilt pairs great with ALL OF THEM!!!

The colors are really perfect to wear all Spring and Summer. I am so glad I ordered this garment to add to my HUGE kilt collection."

"This is an exquisitely made kilt, and my son is very happy with it. He was looking for his first kilt, preferably in our obscure clan tartan. This colorway is very close, and he could not be happier. Easy to put on, comfortable to wear (I'm assuming, since he always seem to be in it). I would definitely order more items from Sport Kilt.
