**Men's Medium Waist Tip: If you are taller than 5'9", you want to get the Medium-Long size.  If you are 5'9" or shorter, the Medium will be fine.

Sewn-Down Pleats

All Sport Kilts are pleated, but you can give your kilt that custom fitted shape with a leaner profile by having us sew down the pleats.

The first 4-5 inches of pleats (measured from the waistband) are sewn down along the knife edge of the pleat (vertically). This provides a more refined look and makes for easier care and pressing.

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept returns for customized goods, i.e., belt loops, sewn pleats, custom length. Please make sure of your measurements!

Buckle Closure

You can add two 1" wide black leather straps and nickle-plated buckles to the opening end of your Sport Kilt. A functional, traditional looking adjustable double strap.  You can also choose a Nylon Buckle Strap option as well. 

While all Sport Kilts are secured with Velcro at the waistband, you can give your kilt that custom look (and added security) by adding buckles and straps.

Also note: If you opt for the Buckles and straps, we HIGHLY recommend adding the sewn-down-pleats option as they compliment each other.

Belt Loops

Although you don't need a belt to hold up your kilt, we'll be glad to add 'em so you can wear your favorite belt.

Belt loops can also be used to thread your sporran "chain-belt" through. This is the traditional use of belt loops on a kilt.

Fringe

Now you can have the opening side of your Sport Kilt fringed for extra flair!

Pockets

Now you can have us add 2 hidden side pockets to your Sport Kilt. You won’t even know they’re there unless you’re looking for them, or you’ve got your hands in your pockets.

A great custom option for those that have to have pockets on their kilts!

Please allow us a couple of days to customize your kilt with pockets before your order ships.

Custom Length

Use a measuring tape, instead of using your pant size. This will determine your waist measurement.

The ideal kilt length: While kneeling, measure from the top of your waist (where you'd wear your kilt) to the floor. Some say your kilt should just brush against the ground when you are kneeling. Of course personal preference is the rule! Have it YOUR way.

Note:  Ultimate and Commando kilts tend to sit higher on the waist (more like a traditional kilt) than our standrard Sport Kilts. Therefore, you may want to add an extra inch or two in length to compensate. If in doubt, be assured that ninety five percent of the time, our standard size Medium-long, large, XL, abd XXL length of 22.5 inches will fit most guys 5' 10" and 6' 2" tall.

    Great quality
    The quality and comfort of the “Sport Kilt” is excellent. I have eight kilts and six of them are “Sport Kilts”. I wear kilts every day now. On the rare occasion that I happen to wear a pair of shorts or jeans I end up changing into one of my Sport kilts within an hour. Yes I wear them everywhere I go, do they get noticed ? Sure, and with compliments….. You would also be surprised at how many people don’t notice or don’t give it a second thought.

    I love it, in my home town we have a huge appreciation for firefighters, mainly due to the fact that a little over a year ago the entire city was almost burned to the ground. There was a mass evacuation of over 88000 people in less than three days, with only two fatalities (both from the same accident). The Beast took too much from too many people, and the only reason most had anything at all were due to the brave men and women fighting the blaze on the front lines doing whatever they could to save as much as possible. So I am proud to wear this tartan and support every firehall around the world.

    Overall I am very happy with my Sport Kilt. A big conversation piece at my Crossfit box, Crossfit All Levels Windsor, Ont. A few guys want to get one.
    I ordered a size too big but based it on the sizing chart. I should have gone 1 size down. I had to sew in an extra velcro strip to make it smaller at the waist. I’ll know for next time.

    This is a well made kilt. It’s light weight. When I felt the weight I expected it to fly up with the first gust of wind but you don’t even need a kilt pin. I would suggest getting a sporran or pockets or both. The little pocket inside the middle of the front is big enough for your wallet but that’s all or it will poke out. It’s very comfortable. I would suggest a black shirt and leave off the belt loops. great lightweight kilt for spring and summer. I get lots of looks, questions, and comments.

    Great Kilt
    I purchased my Firefighter Kilt about a month ago and it was a great buy. Unfortunatly I have lost several pounds since the purchase so it was bigger then expected when I needed to wear it. The great thing was they send you an extra piece of velcro to sew on and it fit perfect. Everyone was pleased to see me in a kilt. It was very comfortable and fashionable.
