Remember The Fallen Hiking Kilt
Carry a message of honor and remembrance wherever the trail takes you with the Remember The Fallen Hiking Kilt. Made from lightweight, breathable, quick-drying microfiber, this men’s hiking kilt is designed for active outdoor use while showcasing a tartan created to recognize those who gave their lives in service to others.
Designed by Joe McDonough, the Remember The Fallen tartan honors military members, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting and serving their communities. It represents courage, dedication, service, gratitude, and remembrance.
Built for the Trail
The lightweight microfiber fabric makes this a practical alternative to heavier traditional kilts. It breathes well, dries quickly, and gives you unrestricted movement whether you’re hiking, camping, traveling, or spending all day at a Highland Games.
It’s a strong choice for:
- Hiking and trail walking
- Camping and outdoor adventures
- Military and first responder events
- Highland Games
- Scottish and Celtic festivals
- Travel
- Outdoor concerts
- Memorial events
- Casual weekends
- Everyday wear
Customize Your Kilt
The Remember The Fallen Hiking Kilt can be ordered in your preferred waist size and custom length, with available upgrades including buckle closures, belt loops, and two hidden side pockets.
Hidden side pockets give you convenient storage for a phone, wallet, keys, or other essentials without adding bulky exterior cargo pockets. Optional belt loops let you wear your favorite belt or thread a traditional sporran chain through them.
For added security and a more traditional look, you can also add black leather or nylon buckle straps. Every Sport Kilt is already secured with Velcro at the waistband, so the buckles provide an additional functional and visual upgrade.
Easy Care
The Remember The Fallen Hiking Kilt is made for regular use. Machine wash it cold with similar colors, then tumble dry on low or hang it to dry. For especially sharp pleats, Sport Kilt recommends pressing at approximately 75% iron heat.
If you choose leather buckle straps, dry cleaning is recommended because repeated machine washing and drying can dry out the leather.

The Perfect Fit
Finding your waist size
Using a measuring tape, wrap it around your waist where you’d like the top of your kilt to sit. Don’t hold in your stomach. This measurement is usually 2″ larger than the size of your pants. You might consider giving yourself an extra inch, or so, for comfort. Take your waist measurement (in actual inches) and see where it falls in our size grid below.
Finding your length
The ideal kilt length for you: While kneeling, measure from the top of your waist (where you’d wear your kilt) to the floor. Some say your kilt should just brush against the ground when you are kneeling. Of course personal preference is the rule! Have it YOUR way.
