* For accurate measuring, measure around your waist where you intend to wear your kilt. If you want to wear it lower down on your hips, that’s where you should take a measurement and see where it falls in the size chart.

Feel free to give us your hip measurement (usually right around your rear-end) in the "order notes" and we can take that into consideration when building your kilt. 

Waist Measurement in Inches, DO NOT USE YOUR PANTS SIZE, and we don’t recommend going by dress sizes, as there is no industry standard for dress sizes.

Mini Kilt Length *

Our standard mini-kilts are 14″ long, but you can give it a shorter hem length if you want. Note that we can always make a kilt shorter, but once it’s been cut, we can’t make it longer, so it does become non-returnable with a custom length.

Sewn-Down Pleats

All Sport Kilts are pleated, but you can give your kilt that custom fitted shape with a leaner profile by having us sew down the pleats.

The first 4-5 inches of pleats (measured from the waistband) are sewn down along the knife edge of the pleat (vertically). This provides a more refined look and makes for easier care and pressing.

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept returns for customized goods, i.e., belt loops, sewn pleats, custom length. Please make sure of your measurements!

Fringe

You can have the opening side of your Sport Kilt fringed for extra flair!

Buckle Closure

You can add two 1" wide black leather straps and nickle-plated buckles to the opening end of your Sport Kilt. A functional, traditional looking adjustable double strap.

While all Sport Kilts are secured with Velcro at the waistband, you can give your kilt that custom look (and added security) by adding buckles and straps.

Also note: If you opt for the Buckles and straps, we HIGHLY recommend adding the sewn-down-pleats option as they compliment each other.

Also, it is best to hand wash (or dry clean) your kilt with leather straps.

Important: We cannot accept returns for customized goods, i.e., belt loops, sewn-down pleats, custom length, fringe, or buckles. Please be precise with measurements!

Pockets

Now you can have us add 2 hidden side pockets to your Sport Kilt. You won't even know they're there unless you're looking for them, or you've got your hands in your pockets.

A great custom option for those that have to have pockets on their kilts!

Please allow us a couple of days to customize your kilt with pockets before your order ships.

Belt Loops

Although you don't need a belt to hold up your kilt, we'll be glad to add 'em so you can wear your favorite belt.

Belt loops can also be used to thread your sporran "chain-belt" through. This is the traditional use of belt loops on a kilt.

A short and sexy Mini Kilt, with an inside stash pocket, Velcro closure and, of course, our exclusive poly-blend, machine washable material.

The Mini-kilt is 14″ long, and guaranteed to turn heads!

Rough Size Guide: Small fits size 1-4; medium fits sizes 4-8, large fits sizes 9-14. XL fits size 15-22.

You can also add custom features like sewn-down pleats, fringe, belt loops, pockets, and a leather buckle strap closure to spice up your Sport Kilt!

These are custom made, so please allow 2-4 days for us to make your mini-kilt.

Customizations, i.e., belt buckles, sewn down pleats, etc., may add a couple of days to your order’s delivery time.

    Great company and excellent customer service. I ordered a mens kilt and then 2 months later ordered a ladies. Each purchase was great. The ladies kilt needed rushed. I had ordered it too late and needed it expressed shipped. The customer service department went above and beyond to get it to me. The quality of both kilts is amazing. I was highly impressed. I would definitely recommend this company.

    Perfect for St. Pattys day!
    I have the same kilt in the firefighter tartan. They are so comfortable and I love how the Velcro makes them more adjustable (especially when I eat/ drink too much lol). The material is really soft and not scratchy. My only recommendation would be to see the Velcro the opposite way (poky part on the outside piece and soft on the inside) so when I adjust it to b more loose the Velcro doesn’t stick to other clothing (shirt, etc). I solved this by buying a small piece of the same Velcro and cut it to fit over. I have emailed the customer service several times with the purchases I’ve made and they are always very helpful to navigate all the kilt choices and options available.

    Love it love it love it
    This is a wonderful kilt. I love that I can throw it in the wash and line dry it. I have worn it on the mountains in Vail and it is quite warm over the butt. I love the integrated kangaroo pocket and the buckles are just really fun.

    Love it
    The kilt is a great weight and sits nicely. It is high quality and seems like it will last forever. I normally wear a size 12 or 14 and was worried that it would be too short, but it is perfect. Size large is a little big on me, but the buckles and velcro do the trick for the fit. I recommend ordering sewn pleats, especially if getting the buckles and straps.
