“The Works Kilt” available in Douglas Tartan!
During the 14th century, ‘The Good Sir James,’ or ‘The Black Douglas’ as the English called him, was a most cherished companion to Robert the Bruce. So greatly esteemed was he by the Bruce, that after Roberts death in 1329, the Good Sir was charged with transporting his heart to the Holy Land, but was killed as he led a cavalry charge against the Moors at Teba. Robert’s heart was recovered and laid to rest at Melford Abbey in Scotland, but the bones of Sir James are lost to time.
