**Men's Medium Waist Tip: If you are taller than 5'9", you want to get the Medium-Long size.  If you are 5'9" or shorter, the Medium will be fine.

Sewn-Down Pleats

All Sport Kilts are pleated, but you can give your kilt that custom fitted shape with a leaner profile by having us sew down the pleats.

The first 4-5 inches of pleats (measured from the waistband) are sewn down along the knife edge of the pleat (vertically). This provides a more refined look and makes for easier care and pressing.

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept returns for customized goods, i.e., belt loops, sewn pleats, custom length. Please make sure of your measurements!

Belt Loops

Although you don't need a belt to hold up your kilt, we'll be glad to add 'em so you can wear your favorite belt.

Belt loops can also be used to thread your sporran "chain-belt" through. This is the traditional use of belt loops on a kilt.

Buckle Closure

You can add two 1" wide black leather straps and nickle-plated buckles to the opening end of your Sport Kilt. A functional, traditional looking adjustable double strap.  You can also choose a Nylon Buckle Strap option as well. 

While all Sport Kilts are secured with Velcro at the waistband, you can give your kilt that custom look (and added security) by adding buckles and straps.

Also note: If you opt for the Buckles and straps, we HIGHLY recommend adding the sewn-down-pleats option as they compliment each other.

Fringe

Now you can have the opening side of your Sport Kilt fringed for extra flair!

Pockets

Now you can have us add 2 hidden side pockets to your Sport Kilt. You won’t even know they’re there unless you’re looking for them, or you’ve got your hands in your pockets.

A great custom option for those that have to have pockets on their kilts!

Please allow us a couple of days to customize your kilt with pockets before your order ships.

Custom Length

Use a measuring tape, instead of using your pant size. This will determine your waist measurement.

The ideal kilt length: While kneeling, measure from the top of your waist (where you'd wear your kilt) to the floor. Some say your kilt should just brush against the ground when you are kneeling. Of course personal preference is the rule! Have it YOUR way.

Note:  Ultimate and Commando kilts tend to sit higher on the waist (more like a traditional kilt) than our standrard Sport Kilts. Therefore, you may want to add an extra inch or two in length to compensate. If in doubt, be assured that ninety five percent of the time, our standard size Medium-long, large, XL, abd XXL length of 22.5 inches will fit most guys 5' 10" and 6' 2" tall.

    I loved my kilt until it was stolen in ArKansas. You want to talk about on Pissed off Irishman. I wanted to go & open up somebodys melon. I really need to order another one. It won’t quite have the sentimental value to it. But it will be great to wear my kilt again. My first I bought was when I was still MMA Fighting. But the new will be a new beginning.

    Is that a Kilt I see?
    I wear this kilt on days other than St. Patrick’s Day. Recently I wore it on a long drive. While checking in at the hotel a younger lady remarked from behind “Is that a kilt I see? I love men in kilts! ” Kilts are for wearing all the time.

    When I ordered my kilt, I got the wrong size. The customer service worked with me for correcting it, since I have gotten it back, it is very comfortable and easy to wear. I would highly recommend! Just make sure you measure yourself first.

    Loved this kilt!
    My brother and I finally got a chance to attend the St Pats day celebration in Savannah, GA this year… This kilt made us the toast of River Street! It was comfortable and definitely turned heads. Several people asked where they could get them and I was only too happy to recommend this site. Keep up the great work!

    Excellent experience
    This was my first, and I’m glad I chose to go through Sport Kilt. The value made it easy to “take the leap”, not knowing quite what I was jumping into. I’m a bit in between sizes (38 and 39 inch waist). However, I felt that the site was instructive and informative enough to make the plunge.

    I had a special order (I wanted my kilt to be 24.5″ long, and boy am I glad I asked for it!), and it showed up to my house in a week!

    I would highly recommend Seamus and Sport Kilt for first time buyers. They make induction into the “club” a little less confusing.

    Grandson’s kilt for St Patrick’s Day parade in New Orleans
    Michael is 21 yrs old and a junior in college. He was invited to the Irish Channel parade by older relatives.
    He has worn the kilt for days with an Irish T shirt. he marches next Sunday.
    The kilt is made with perfection and is holding up with constant wear. I feel sure it will still be in great condition for the parade in spite of the fact that Michael has been celbrating his 21st all week in the kilt. Your kilt has made a 75yr old grandmother very happy. I’m sure we will adding to the kilt soon. Thanks.

    Nice product but missing the inside pocket
    I bought three of these in large originally and they were just too big. I went by the size chart to make my selection. (I guess I’m in between sizes.) I returned the kilts and they were exchanged no problem for the medium which fit perfectly. One thing I was questioning was the fact I was missing the inside pocket on all three. I received the new ones back still missing a pocket on the St. Patrick kilt. The other kilts have this pocket. At this point I am happy to just have them without having to ship one back for the pocket to be sewn in.
