**Men's Medium Waist Tip: If you are taller than 5'9", you want to get the Medium-Long size.  If you are 5'9" or shorter, the Medium will be fine.

Sewn-Down Pleats

All Sport Kilts are pleated, but you can give your kilt that custom fitted shape with a leaner profile by having us sew down the pleats.

The first 4-5 inches of pleats (measured from the waistband) are sewn down along the knife edge of the pleat (vertically). This provides a more refined look and makes for easier care and pressing.

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept returns for customized goods, i.e., belt loops, sewn pleats, custom length. Please make sure of your measurements!

Buckle Closures

You can add two 1" wide black leather straps and nickle-plated buckles to the opening end of your Sport Kilt. A functional, traditional looking adjustable double strap.  You can also choose a Nylon Buckle Strap option as well. 

While all Sport Kilts are secured with Velcro at the waistband, you can give your kilt that custom look (and added security) by adding buckles and straps.

Also note: If you opt for the Buckles and straps, we HIGHLY recommend adding the sewn-down-pleats option as they compliment each other.

Belt Loops

Although you don't need a belt to hold up your kilt, we'll be glad to add 'em so you can wear your favorite belt.

Belt loops can also be used to thread your sporran "chain-belt" through. This is the traditional use of belt loops on a kilt.

Pockets

Now you can have us add 2 hidden side pockets to your Sport Kilt. You won’t even know they’re there unless you’re looking for them, or you’ve got your hands in your pockets.

A great custom option for those that have to have pockets on their kilts!

Please allow us a couple of days to customize your kilt with pockets before your order ships.

Fringe

Now you can have the opening side of your Sport Kilt fringed for extra flair!

Custom Length

Use a measuring tape, instead of using your pant size. This will determine your waist measurement.

The ideal kilt length: While kneeling, measure from the top of your waist (where you'd wear your kilt) to the floor. Some say your kilt should just brush against the ground when you are kneeling. Of course personal preference is the rule! Have it YOUR way.

Note:  Ultimate and Commando kilts tend to sit higher on the waist (more like a traditional kilt) than our standrard Sport Kilts. Therefore, you may want to add an extra inch or two in length to compensate. If in doubt, be assured that ninety five percent of the time, our standard size Medium-long, large, XL, abd XXL length of 22.5 inches will fit most guys 5' 10" and 6' 2" tall.

Description

The Official Wallace Tartan

William Wallace is one of Scotland’s greatest national heroes, undisputed leader of the Scottish resistance during the first years of the long (and ultimately successful) struggle to free Scotland from English rule.

This kilt pattern was recently adopted by Glen Bainbridge Distillery as it’s official tartan in 2006.

    Great Product!
    i got the sport kilt w/ pockets and side buckles. 2 of the 3 pockets are not even visible. i suggest getting the sewed down pleats and side buckles too! all in all the sport kilt was a great buy!

    I bought a kilt in the tartan “USA” for my friend Jim’s 50th Birthday. We went to run together in a 10k. I bought “Wallace”.

    I have a couple of ‘real’ kilts and I wear one of the about once a month. Of course the ‘real’ kilt is much more expensive and much nicer. However the SportsKilt is better value for money. And the pockets are totally awesome – I’ve never seen a ‘real’ kilt with pockets.

    Great for Golf!
    Wore it for a golf tournament. Much more comfortable than anything I have worn before. Just be careful on windy days!

    Very nice
    This was my first kilt experience and it was a good one. I wore my kilt out to the Renaissance fesival last week and good great feedback. I went with the sewn down pleats (highly recommend – good look) and the add-on pockets. I did like the pockets – they are almost non-visible. But, the inside pocket is plenty big enough to carry you wallet and keys. This was a great new peice of clothing for me and I will recommend to all my friends. Thanks!
