**Men's Medium Waist Tip: If you are taller than 5'9", you want to get the Medium-Long size.  If you are 5'9" or shorter, the Medium will be fine.

Sewn-Down Pleats

All Sport Kilts are pleated, but you can give your kilt that custom fitted shape with a leaner profile by having us sew down the pleats.

The first 4-5 inches of pleats (measured from the waistband) are sewn down along the knife edge of the pleat (vertically). This provides a more refined look and makes for easier care and pressing.

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept returns for customized goods, i.e., belt loops, sewn pleats, custom length. Please make sure of your measurements!

Buckle Closure

You can add two 1" wide black leather straps and nickle-plated buckles to the opening end of your Sport Kilt. A functional, traditional looking adjustable double strap.  You can also choose a Nylon Buckle Strap option as well. 

While all Sport Kilts are secured with Velcro at the waistband, you can give your kilt that custom look (and added security) by adding buckles and straps.

Also note: If you opt for the Buckles and straps, we HIGHLY recommend adding the sewn-down-pleats option as they compliment each other.

Belt Loops

Although you don't need a belt to hold up your kilt, we'll be glad to add 'em so you can wear your favorite belt.

Belt loops can also be used to thread your sporran "chain-belt" through. This is the traditional use of belt loops on a kilt.

Pockets

Now you can have us add 2 hidden side pockets to your Sport Kilt. You won’t even know they’re there unless you’re looking for them, or you’ve got your hands in your pockets.

A great custom option for those that have to have pockets on their kilts!

Please allow us a couple of days to customize your kilt with pockets before your order ships.

Fringe

Now you can have the opening side of your Sport Kilt fringed for extra flair!

Custom Length *

Use a measuring tape, instead of using your pant size. This will determine your waist measurement.

The ideal kilt length: While kneeling, measure from the top of your waist (where you'd wear your kilt) to the floor. Some say your kilt should just brush against the ground when you are kneeling. Of course personal preference is the rule! Have it YOUR way.

Note:  Ultimate and Commando kilts tend to sit higher on the waist (more like a traditional kilt) than our standrard Sport Kilts. Therefore, you may want to add an extra inch or two in length to compensate. If in doubt, be assured that ninety five percent of the time, our standard size Medium-long, large, XL, abd XXL length of 22.5 inches will fit most guys 5' 10" and 6' 2" tall.

    This kilt is amazing. It is somehow true simplicity in a kilt of 5 yards, easy to handle, light in weight, and true in its weaving. The Velcro closure is beautifully done, and all these things are tough to do right–Sport Kilt does it right!

    This is my first Sport Kilt. I just love it. It is truly the most comfortable kilt I’ve ever worn. This polyester material is tough, and well woven. The Stuart Black is rendered beautifully. Made in the USA is a giant plus.

    If I have one complaint, it’s the Velcro strip running the entire length of the front waistband. There should be sections, not a 2-foot-long Velcro strip. But it is a minor complaint, and the elasticated waistband at the back really makes up for it.

    I’m buying more of these kilts! And as a connoisseur who loves quality at a reasonable price, Sport Kilt has my lifelong custom!

    Great customer service!
    This is my 2nd sport kilt and I ordered it with side pockets, but unfortunately the pockets caused a pucker in the material at the hips. Sport kilt customer service treated me right and made some adjustments and the kilt fits perfectly now. They even paid for the shipping (both directions) and fixed it in less than two weeks.     Killer kilt
    I couldn’t be happier with my recent Sportkilt purchase. I asked them to rush a special order so I could wear it to a corporate event and they got it to me with time to spare. The kilt is great. I have four kilts and this one has become my favorite. My wife and I just spent three days in Disney World and I wore it the entire time.     The most comfortable thing I’ve ever worn!
    I entered my first Highland Games Competition this past March and decided to go full out and purchase a kilt to get the full experience.     Love their Kilts…
    I am a Heavy Event Athlete. These Sport Kilts are the best bang for the buck on the field. I have had a half dozen of these over the years. Now they have made the Velcro longer, and offer sewn pleats. I recommend the second option. I have been married twice, both in Black Stewart Sport Kilts. Also, when I needed an order fast, they made it happen….

    Cool Runnings
    This is the second Sport Kilt I have bought in the last few months and they are both great. This one is a Med-Long and fits perfect as I am just over 6′. The Stewart Black pattern gets a lot of complements both while out running or just standing around at the bar having a drink. Excelent product and I will be ordering more soon. P.S. The side pockets are nice for casual wear, but the orignal center flap is a little more secure while running; I have one of each and run in both quite often.
