New! Thompson Hunting Ancient Tartan
The Thompson Hunting tartan is a predominantly brown tartan with black, white and green. The name Thomson or Thompson derives from MacTavish. After Culloden, in fear of Jacobite chiefs, MacTavish’s started to use the Thom(p)son spelling, for it was not healthy to be known as a “Mac”, which is too obviously a Highland name. Many scattered to the border country, to Ireland and to the New World.

Held up during wrestling competition
The kilt was for my adult son who competed for the first time ever in Highland Backclasp Wrestling. It is the basic kilt, no “bells and whistles.” He absolutely loved the kilt. He took 3rd place; but, the Sport Kilt was #1 in the way it held up in the heat and rough activity. It stayed on! ( I had been worried the velcro wouldn’t hold; but, it did!) And, the kilt retained it’s beautiful shape. My son couldn’t thank me enough for the kilt. He told me “why have I been wearing pants? I want to wear this kilt all the time!”

Fantastic
Got it for running races that I wasn’t going for a PR. The kilt has been such a hit that I’ve been wearing it to more events and get togethers.
